Prison sentence reduction proposals being reconsidered

The government is reconsidering its plans to halve the length of prison sentences for those who enter early guilty pleas in England and Wales.

Prime Minister David Cameron said the proposals were under consultation following an outcry over the policy, but there would definitely not be a discount for rapists who plead guilty at an early stage.
