Ed Miliband less popular than Iain Duncan Smith, says survey
Michael Dugher MP, the newly appointed right-hand man to Ed Miliband, said the leader had to work harder and listen more as he aimed to end elections to the shadow cabinet.
But Independent on Sunday chief political commentator John Rentoul was not impressed with Ed Miliband who according to a survey has proved less popular as a new leader than Iain Duncan Smith when he took over the Conservatives in opposition.
Conservative peer Baroness Buscombe said it was a risky move for the Labour leader to abolish shadow cabinet elections.
