Riots and Hillsborough tragedy are most popular e-petitions

The public can get MPs to discuss an item if they can collect 100,000 electronic names on a petition on a Downing Street website.

Two subjects have so far hit the trigger to see if members of the Backbench Business Committee should look into the call.

Giles Dilnot has been looking at what came top of the e-political pops and what subjects are likely - and less likely - to make their way on to the political agenda.
