Labour conference: Ed Miliband and the unions

Votes from the unions were decisive in electing Ed Miliband as Labour leader a year ago but he has since spoken of changing the party's relationship with their biggest financial backers.

Delegates in Liverpool will be asked to approve measures which could weaken the unions' influence in future leadership elections.

The Politics Show's David Thompson spoke to Jack Dromey MP, former Blair adviser Jack McTernan, and Unite general secretary Len McCluskey, with help from radio DJ Simon Bates.
