Obesity: Derek Hatton and Diane Abbott on health advice
Derek Hatton said larger people should stop eating so much and start exercising as he claimed obesity was not a disease but a disgrace.
Shadow public health minister Diane Abbott said Labour should have done more in office, and money was wasted on leaflets, before saying the current government policy was worthless and too reliant on food companies.
They spoke after a film featuring Emma Burnell on her battle with obesity.
