Education staff hand in Whitehall petition on pension changes

Seven education unions are presenting a petition to the Department for Education signed by 130,000 school, college and university staff across England and Wales over changes to their pensions.

Association of Teachers and Lecturers' general secretary Mary Bousted explained staff wanted "real negotiations" while Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude said staff would contine to have "good pension schemes".
