Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls: Young jobless figures 'dangerous'
The number of young people looking for work has reached a record high of more than one million.
According to the Office for National Statistics, there are more 16 to 24-year-olds without a job than at any time since 1992.
The total number of unemployed people increased by 129,000 between July and September to just over 2.6 million.
Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls said the figures were ''dangerous'' and government policies were not helping.
