GMB union on pension talks and John Hutton role

The GMB union's national secretary for public services rejected Lord Hutton's to speed up changing pensions for public sector workers, claiming on average they received £5,600 annually.

The Labour peer told the BBC that the downgrading of Britain's growth forecasts made the case for public sector pensions reform more urgent.

But Brian Strutton said: "I think John has got his arguments back to front today and I don't know why he is trying to intervene, it's nothing to do with him any more."
