MP calls for lobbyists' register after undercover sting
MPs will be urged to back calls for a statutory register of commercial lobbyists with access to Parliament.
It comes after undercover reporters taped executives from public affairs company Bell Pottinger boasting of their power to influence David Cameron.
Labour MP John Cryer will introduce a Ten Minute Rule Bill demanding change.
Speaking to the BBC, he said: "I find it very difficult to believe that large corporations pay huge amounts of money to lobbying companies and get nothing for it".
However, No 10 has said no lobbying firm "has any say or influence over government policy".
