The UK should be an 'offshore haven', says Tory MEP

David Cameron will explain on Monday why he vetoed plans to change the EU treaty to bolster the euro.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, said the negotiations at the EU summit in Brussels were a 'spectacular failure' but the Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan told Radio 5 live that the veto represents 'an enormous opportunity'.

Mr Hannan added that the UK should become the Eurozone's 'offshore haven, the Hong Kong to their China'.
