David Cameron: 'The coalition is very strong'

Senior Conservatives and Liberal Democrats have met for what was called a "business-like" cabinet meeting after recent tensions over Europe.

Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg, the deputy prime minister, chose not to attend David Cameron's statement to MPs on Monday about the EU summit.

However the prime minister insisted the coalition was ''very strong'' and the cabinet meeting was ''very good''.
