Justine Greening: HS2 essential for growth in UK
A controversial new high-speed rail network - High Speed Two (HS2) - has been given the go-ahead by the government despite strong opposition.
Setting out the scheme in the Commons, Transport Secretary Justine Greening, said it was essential for the growth of the UK economy.
She said despite tough economic times, it was important to plan for the future.
