Liberal Democrats reject vote to scrap NHS reform plans
Liberal Democrats have rejected attempts to debate a motion calling for the government to scrap planned changes to the NHS in England.
The party voted at its spring conference in Gateshead not to take an emergency motion urging the withdrawal of the Health and Social Care Bill.
Instead it backed a rival option supporting the changes from Baroness Williams - but many party activists are far from happy with the result.
