William Hague: Assad's wife unlikely to re-enter the UK
EU foreign ministers have imposed a travel ban and asset freeze on the UK-born wife of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad and other family members.
Asma al-Assad is among twelve people added to the EU sanctions list, however she does have a British passport, which UK officials say cannot stop her from entering the UK.
But Foreign Secretary William Hague said she was not likely to re-enter whilst there is an asset freeze on all on the sanctions list.
