Cash for access: Ed Miliband calls for public inquiry
The Labour leader called for an independent public inquiry as he criticised the prime minister for not attending Parliament to answer questions over the cash for access allegations made in the Sunday Times.
Ed Miliband said the internal Conservative-led inquiry promised by David Cameron over claims by former Tory Party co-treasurer Peter Cruddas was not enough.
The leader of the Opposition told the House of Commons: "We need a proper independent inquiry appropriate to the gravity of what it is at stake."
