David Cameron gives evidence at the Leveson Inquiry

David Cameron has spent the day giving evidence at the Leveson Inquiry into press standards. He faced questions on his relationship with the Murdochs, and his hiring of former News of the World editor, Andy Coulson, as his head of communications.

It also emerged that Rebekah Brooks sent a text to Cameron in 2009 saying "professionally we're definitely in this together". The Prime Minister said he had never traded policies in return for support from the press.

Nick Robinson reports.
