"Toxic" Clegg should step aside
Linda Jack, a member of the Liberal Democrats' federal policy executive has suggested Nick Clegg should step aside as party leader, although she conceded he should remain as deputy prime minister until the party's coalition at Westminster with the Conservatives had run its course. Ms Jack chairs Liberal Left, a group of left-leaning party activists who've been critical of Nick Clegg's leadership. She told the Westminster Hour on Radio 4 that his future was now the subject of debate within the Liberal Democrats.
