MPs' salary: Steve Brine, Anas Sarwar and Lorely Burt

A Conservative MP said that colleagues were "worth the money" despite them earning two or three times the salary of their constituents.

Steve Brine said: "It is a well-paid job by those standards, and it is the best job in the world, which is why we do it."

He was debating the pay levels and the second jobs of MPs along with Labour's Anas Sarwar and Liberal Democrat Lorely Burt with Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics.
