Grant Shapps on police election votes and Lynton Crosby

Grant Shapps said he ran his party's campaign, he was the one attending Cabinet and the "buck stops with me".

The Conservative Party chairman spoke to Andrew Neil about the part-time appointment of Lynton Crosby, the Australian strategist behind Boris Johnson's London mayoral campaign, who is to work for the Tories towards the 2015 general election.

They also discussed the police commissioner and Corby by-election results, plans for a "Big Society Day", omnishambles being named as word of the year, targeting Liberal Democrat seats at the 2015 general election and British relations with the EU.
