How will the Autumn Statement affect those on benefits?
The chancellor has announced that most benefits, including Job Seeker's Allowance and Income Support, will be increased by 1% for the next three years - less than inflation which is above 2%.
Giving his Autumn Statement, George Osborne said those out of work had previously seen their benefits increase faster than the incomes of employed people.
He said it was only fair that benefits rose by the same amount as public sector pay.
However, Mr Osborne added that the benefits of vulnerable people would increase in line with inflation.
