Britain's third largest trade union is planning to cut its affiliation funds to the Labour Party from just over £1m a year to £150,000.

The BBC News Channel's Chief Political Correspondent Norman Smith explains why the GMB's decision to slash funding to Labour ahead of planned membership rule reforms is so significant.
