Nick Clegg: 'We have to hold our nerve on economy'
Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg says the government has to "hold its nerve" on the economy.
The deputy prime minister said although he "didn't come into politics to make savings" he was not prepared to hand the debt burden to our children and grandchildren.
He said: "The worst thing do would be simply to shrug our shoulders and say 'it's all too difficult to pay off the debts'."
