Debating the role of Bomber Command

Bernard Mason, former air gunner, and historian Sir Max Hastings discussed with Andrew Marr the role of Bomber Command during World War Two.

Ahead of next year's centenary of World War One, Sir Max argued the importance of explaining "the how and why" of conflict, as well as honouring the dead.
