Armed Forces Covenant: Support and help for servicemen
The Armed Forces Covenant sets out government help for servicemen, women, and their families, covering practical support for services such as council tax, access to schools and welfare grants.
On Armistice Day, David Thompson reports on whether it does enough to help the forces and their families.
He spoke to Labour MP Dan Jarvis who served in The Parachute Regiment, who said there was a need for other laws to criminalise discrimination.
And Royal British Legion director general Chris Simpkins feared there may be a future decline in support as Britain pulled out of Afghanistan and other conflicts.
