Christmas power cuts: Energy bosses grilled on compensation
Bosses of UK energy distribution firms have been defending compensation levels for people who were left without power for over 48 hours at Christmas.
The bosses have been giving evidence to MPs over their response to the stormy weather, which affected hundreds of thousands of customers.
Ian Lavery MP said the industry standard of £27 compensation was an "insult", however the firms said their schemes were fair.
