Tory deselections: Paul Goodman and Anne McIntosh

A Conservative MP deselected by her constituency association said it was "the result of some ungentlemanly behaviour" ahead of Friday's ballot in her Thirsk and Malton seat.

Anne McIntosh said this had brought "great discredit to the Conservative Party" and added that her claims were being looked at in the "highest ranks" of her party.

She was speaking about deselections - including Tory MP Tim Yeo - with ConservativeHome website editor and former MP Paul Goodman, Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn, and crossbencher Baroness Neuberger.
