Ken Clarke: 'More effort needed to get women in politics'

Conservative MP Ken Clarke has resigned as Minister without Portfolio from the cabinet.

Mr Clarke told the BBC New Channel that he was 'addicted' to politics however, and would carry on as MP for his local constituency.

He also said more needed to be done to attract women into politics, and explained why he 'reluctantly' supported all-women short lists.
