Major 'desperately concerned' at prospect of Yes vote
The former Prime Minister, Sir John Major, has said it would be "disastrous for the whole of the UK" if Scotland voted to leave.
Sir John told the Today programme's John Humphrys that he was "desperately concerned at what is happening".
And he added: "We would be immensely weaker as a nation in every respect: morally, politically, in every material aspect, were Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom to part company."
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday 10 September.
