Boris Johnson on Tory Clacton candidate Giles Watling

Boris Johnson forgot the name of the Conservative candidate in the Clacton by election during a radio interview, and asked the LBC host to remind him.

The Mayor of London was on his weekly phone-in with presenter Nick Ferrari, and said: "I knew it was something to do with 'ling', anyway..."

The by-election is taking place after Tory MP Douglas Carswell resigned his seat to stand as the UKIP candidate. The Tory candidate Giles Watling is a former TV actor.
