BBC Rewind: Scouts hijack voters

The boy scouts of Shepton Mallet in Somerset know a captive audience when they see one, and so they shook their buckets at voters outside the local polling station in the constituency of Wells during the general election of February 1974. Most didn't seem to mind contributing to the appeal for funds for a shelter, and takings were up due to a high voter turnout.
