PM launches campaign poster at the start of election year

The Prime Minister has launched a new Conservative Party campaign poster urging voters to stick with the Conservatives.

Speaking in Halifax, in West Yorkshire, Mr Cameron said the country needed to stay on the road to recovery.

With the New Year, all the political parties are looking ahead to May's general election and are laying their campaign plans.

The shadow chancellor, Ed Balls claimed in the Guardian that the Conservatives were planning much deeper spending cuts than needed by the deficit.
