Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls says Labour 'pro-business'

Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls has defended Labour's stance on business, and insisted it does want to work with the business community.

Speaking to Newsnight's Emily Maitlis, he said Labour was the progressive party, the party of the national minimum wage, and a publically funded NHS.

''The Tories have left the centre ground and lurched to the right. We are the centre ground pro-business party today,'' he said.
