Labour 'to expand Sure Start' childcare programme

Labour have announced plans to expand the Sure Start childcare programme if they win the next election.

Shadow Education Secretary Tristram Hunt said it would help reduce "inequality and disadvantages" caused by poverty.

Talking on the Andrew Marr show, he described the policy as one of the "great achievements" of the last Labour government.

UK viewers can watch the Andrew Marr Show in full for 30 days.
