Security Committee 'cannot be dragged down' - Howells

Sir Malcolm Rifkind's predecessor on the Security Committee, ex-Labour MP Kim Howells, has been speaking about the "cash-for-access" claims.

Appearing on Newsnight on Monday, he said the committee - which oversees the work of Britain's intelligence and security agencies - cannot afford to be "dragged down" by the row because it is "too important".
