HSBC bosses and tax officials take MPs' questions

The chairman and chief executive of HSBC have appeared before a panel of MPs to answer questions about a tax scandal at the banking giant.

Chairman Douglas Flint and chief executive Stuart Gulliver apologised to the Treasury Select Committee for "unacceptable" practices at its Swiss private bank which helped clients to avoid tax.

Senior UK tax officials are now answering questions.
