Speaker John Bercow tells MPs: I am not going anywhere

The Speaker has told MPs that he is in the chair and is "intending to remain in the chair".

Later on Thursday, MPs will debate changes to the way a House of Commons Speaker is elected, with proposals for a secret ballot when parliament meets after the 7 May election.

But Mr Bercow told MPs: "I'm not going anywhere".
