UK Election 2015: A brief guide

Campaigning in the British general election officially begins when Prime Minister David Cameron visits the Queen to formally dissolve parliament.

The election is said to be the most unpredictable in years with the traditional political forces in British politics, the Conservatives and Labour, facing challenges from smaller parties.

Rob Watson explains the ins and outs of what is sure to be a wild campaign, ahead of the vote on May 7.
