SNP looks set to secure majority in Scottish parliament

The Scottish National Party has secured a major victory in the Scottish Parliament elections after seizing more than 25 seats from its rivals.

The party is now within two seats of achieving an overall majority in the 129-seat parliament, with some counts still to declare.
