Long-term effects of weight loss surgery to be studied
A new study will examine the long-term physical and psychological effects of weight loss surgery on patients.
The University of Glasgow will look into the effectiveness of bariatric surgery, such as gastric bands.
Previous research has shown that it is cost-effective for the NHS, but a case study has suggested unpleasant side-effects.
