WWII veteran trip conman John Lennox jailed
A conman who swindled thousands of pounds from World War II veterans has been jailed for more than two years.
John Lennox, from Clydebank, had arranged to take them to battlefield sites in Europe.
The 48-year-old took deposits for trips to Normandy and Arnhem in Holland, but the holidays never happened and the money was not returned.
Bill Donaldson and Russell Cameron, of the Parachute Regimental Association, welcomed the sentencing.
