Strong winds still causing damage across Scotland

Passengers on an early morning train from Edinburgh to Inverness have had to be escorted to safety.

Two people were injured after the train hit a tree on the line in Dunkeld.

Thousands of households have yet to be re-connected to power supplies.

Efforts to reconnect many homes have been hampered by strong winds which meant workmen were unable to repair storm-damaged lines.
