The whisky industry challenge alcohol minimum pricing
The Scotch Whisky Association has lodged a formal complaint with the European Commission against the Scottish government's plans to introduce minimum pricing for alcohol.
The flagship policy is also to be tested in the Scottish courts, as one of Scotland's biggest industries takes on a bill passed by the Scottish Parliament.
MSPs have said they would defend the action vigorously and insisted they are confident their policy is lawful.
