George Wyllie artwork celebrated

An exhibition celebrating the life work of renowned Scottish artist George Wyllie will open in at The Mitchell Library in Glasgow on Friday.

The self-taught sculptor died in May.

Mr Wyllie's most memorable pieces of public art included a straw locomotive suspended from the Finnieston crane in Glasgow and a paper boat launched on the River Clyde.

The exhibition at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow opens on Saturday 3 November is part of the Whysman Festival dedicated to Mr Wyllie's work.
