BBC at 90: Station assistant remembers

The BBC is celebrating 90 years of broadcasting in Scotland. The Glasgow radio station 5SC launched on 6 March 1923 from a small attic studio at Rex House, 202 Bath Street. Station assistant Kathleen Garscadden was in charge of children's and women's programming, as well as performing as a soprano when required. In this 1984 BBC Scotland documentary "Scotland This Century: Pleasures of the People" she recalls the early days of radio.
