Book town's campaign to keep Wigtown library hours

A proposal to cut library opening hours in "Scotland's national book town" has been met with resistance from some Wigtown residents.

Dumfries and Galloway Council announced the plans which were passed in the council's budget.

The move has provoked a backlash from some who do not agree with the plan to reduce opening hours from 42 to 17 hours each week.

BBC Scotland's Willie Johnston reports.
