Stag gore victim 'lucky to be alive'
A woman gored by a charging stag whilst returning to a friend's house in the Scottish Highlands says she feels "lucky to be alive" after coming within millimetres of paralysis.
Doctors say the deer penetrated Dr Kate Stone's spine after impaling her with its antlers which went through her trachea and oesophagus, damaged her vocal cords and fractured her neck.
Alex Dunlop reports.
