Scottish inventors' concern over patent law proposals
Legal experts have claimed inventors and designers based in Scotland could lose out under changes to patent rules.
MPs are considering changes to the law to make it easier to protect new inventions across Europe.
The new system would set up four division courts in the UK to hear disputes. Under current plans Scottish courts would no longer be able to hear those cases.
BBC Scotland's business correspondent David Henderson reports on concerns people will have to travel long distances to protect their intellectual property.
