A&E patients waiting longer say Audit Scotland

The number of patients who waited more than four hours for treatment in accident and emergency has almost trebled in the last five years, according to a report by Audit Scotland.

Staffing, the outbreak of norovirus in the winter of 2012 and an ageing population were among the reasons put forward for the greater delay.
