Queen's Baton in South Lanarkshire

Crowds gathered across South Lanarkshire as the Queen's Baton Relay continued its 40 day journey around Scotland.

Celia Orr, a Scottish dancing teacher, summed up the excitement as the baton arrived in the John Cumming Stadium in Carluke.

The relay travelled to Lanark, Carluke, Calderglen Country Park, East Kilbride, Rutherglen, Uddingston, Bothwell and Hamilton during the ninth day of the tour.

Tony Nellany reports.
