Scottish independence: Referendum debated in Stornoway on Lewis

The referendum and Scottish independence were debated in Stornoway on Lewis on Wednesday evening.

Chaired by BBC Scotland's Craig Anderson, the debate was recorded in front of a mixed audience of "Yes", "No" and undecided voters.

On the panel, were the SNP's Angus MacNeil, former Labour MSP Alasdair Morrison, Lewis businessman Gordon MacLennan and Stornoway-based chartered accountant Roddy Cunningham.

The referendum will be held on 18 September when voters will be asked the Yes/No question: "Should Scotland be an independent country?"
